Transco Railway Products, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator to support an incident-free culture at the Sheldon Repair Shop in Iowa. You will enforce OSHA and company policies, conduct safety inspections, and maintain records while leading safety trainings and coordinating with vendors.

As an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator (EHS), you will support an incident-free culture while protecting employees, our environment while employing proactive tools to ensure compliance. You will implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations at our Sheldon Repair Shop. Assists the department by enforcing and ensuring compliance to OSHA and Company policies, especially critical policies and procedures at site. Able to move across three different shifts periodically. Conduct safety inspections and accident reports identifying root cause and ensure implementation of corrective actions. Maintain a standardized record-keeping system for all accidents with review and follow-up. Assist in preparation, editing, and publication of safety education bulletins, guides, courses of study pamphlets, audio/visual and other materials. Maintain SDS requirements. May lead the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety Topic training. Assist in all walk-thru inspections of the facility. Assist with New Hire Safety orientation. Help to coordinate with vendors, maintain documentation, and schedule pickups. Ensure environmental record keeping is properly maintained. Updates the visual management process. This includes the Safety, Quality, Delivery visuals, 5S department organization and maintenance of the production scheduling board. Establishes strong relationships with customers and resolves customer inquiries and problems. Other duties and projects as assigned by the SHE Manager or Plant Manager.

Bachelor's degree preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years' experience of progressively increasing responsibility in production management. Railcar Repair industry experience strongly preferred. Ability to inspect, identify, and verify that plant safety and processes are implemented, performed, and completed in compliance to industry, company, and customer requirements. Proficiency in MS Office applications with the ability to learn proprietary database systems. Industry knowledge of AAR and FRA rules, and Tank Car Maintenance Regulations; Knowledge of current regulatory requirements (e.g., AAR MSRP, M-1002, Section C, Part III, HM201); Knowledge of FRA regulations, preferred.

Pay Range: 67,500.00 - 82,500.00
