Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee the facility-wide safety program, ensure OSHA compliance, and lead training initiatives. Monday–Friday schedule with possible overtime, contributing to a safer workplace.

You will maintain logs, coordinate with regulators, and drive continuous improvement in safety policies and practices across the site.

Qualifications

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and plant safety.
  • CPR and First Aid knowledge.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Computer operations skills.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the safety program and initiates steps to improve safety.
  • Reviews and updates safety policies and procedures to align with company goals and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensures new employees receive proper training.
  • Reviews safety documents such as committee minutes, inspection reports, and near-miss reports.
  • Maintains OSHA 300 logs and related records.
  • Liaises with management and external regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Chairs the safety committee and tracks training records and inspections.
  • Submits documentation to corporate for recordkeeping.
  • Maintains all safety inspections (weekly, monthly, yearly).
  • Maintains hazardous materials checks and MSDS log book.

Job Description
Job Summary

This position will be responsible for coordinating the safety activities throughout the facility. This includes being directly responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuance of the facility safety, health policies, and procedures. Standard working hours are Monday- Friday 6:30 am- 3:00 pm with occasional overtime and weekend hours.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees the safety program and initiates steps that will improve the level of safety.
  • Reviews and updates the safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company goals and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Makes sure all new employees are properly trained.
  • Reviews safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspection checklist, accident investigation reports and near miss reports.
  • Maintains the OSHA 300 logs.
  • Maintains liaison between management and outside regulatory agencies in accordance with Company policy and statutory guidelines.
  • Chairs the safety committee.
  • Keeps records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, dates and results of workplace inspections.
  • Submits necessary documentation to the corporate office for recordkeeping.
  • Maintains all weekly, monthly, and yearly, safety inspections.
  • Maintains all hazardous material and hazardous material area checks.
  • Maintains the MSDS log book.

Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing Plant environment where the plants may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings.
  • Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Occasional overtime or weekends required.
  • Limited travel for meetings.
