Tosoh Quartz, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support the EHS team with reporting, orientation, and compliance tasks in a manufacturing environment.

You will manage safety files, track training, handle PPE, assist with workers’ compensation claims, and help roll out the new EHS system while maintaining environmental metrics.

The role requires a high school diploma, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint), and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and SharePoint
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• 2+ years in a similar capacity in an EHS or HR team for a manufacturing company
• Experience with workers compensation claims.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and compliance files and records.
• Monitor safety metrics and incident reports.
• Provide safety orientation for new employees and vendors.
• Coordinate PPE provision and fit testing.
• Administer training such as First Aid/CPR/AED.
• Assist with workers' compensation claims.
• Support security systems and building access.
• Maintain wastewater reporting and environmental data.
• Assist with enterprise EHS system rollout.

Hours: 7:30 am - 5 pm, Monday - Thursday, and 8 am - 12 noon on Friday

As the EHS Coordinator, you will provide administrative and technical support to the EHS team, including complete required reporting, conduct employee and vendor safety orientation, and more.

What you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz.

• Maintain files including compliance, monitor, and analytical reports, and workers compensation files.
• Ensure file completeness and perform document control for safety certification.
• Provide administrative and technical support to the EHS team.
• Provide injured worker data and assist in obtaining documentation and tracking records.
• Ensure safety related training is documented properly and provided to the Training department for processing.
• Manage the process for all required safety equipment including eyewear, footwear, and PPE.
• Supply PPE and other safety equipment and conduct fit testing for PPE as required.
• Administer the First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification process.
• Administer and maintain the buildings security systems.
• Maintain key card access system, manage keys and security systems.
• Maintain environmental metrics and document all environmental data.
• Complete monthly wastewater report and submit to the local authority according to permit.
• Conduct new employee and new vendor/contractor safety orientation.
• Support the enterprise implementation of our new EHS system.

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and SharePoint
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
