Job description

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will provide leadership to the EH&S programs at the plant, within the defined World Class Manufacturing framework, in a manner consistent with the Values and Attitudes of the CertainTeed Interior Products Group (IPG) and Saint-Gobain culture. With strategic guidance from both the Production Supervisor and Regional EHS function, this hands-on leadership position will ensure legislative compliance, develop and maintain Saint-Gobain safety standards, develop an autonomous EH&S culture, promote defined Health and Wellness programs, define EH&S operating procedures, provide EH&S training, develop risk identification and reduction awareness and methods according with Saint-Gobain requirements, all achieved through participation and employee engagement.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
  • A minimum of years of experience in EH&S, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Associate Degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience and relevant certifications may be considered
  • Experience with compliance training and administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write procedures with input from subject matter experts
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively in manufacturing and team environments

Travel required for training and EHS events – estimated 5% of time
