Job summary

ERM seeks a Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Generalist, to advance your consulting career in Indianapolis, IN. You will partner with clients in technology and transportation to navigate regulatory landscapes, strengthen safety programs, and embed sustainability into operations.

You will lead EHS compliance tasks, perform site assessments, and contribute to sustainability initiatives while traveling locally up to 60%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related discipline is required.
2+ years of EHS experience in technology, data centers, pharma, healthcare, or manufacturing preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication; analytical and organizational abilities.
Must be able to travel locally up to 60% and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assist with EHS compliance, sustainability, and due diligence projects.
Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs.
Conduct EHS assessments and implement corrective actions to meet regulations.
Support development of EHS compliance and management system programs.
Provide on-site EHS compliance support to clients as needed.
Perform Phase I environmental site assessments for property transfers.
Carry out inspections, safety observations, and risk assessments per OSHA.
