Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating workplace environments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing guidance on best practices to promote a safe working environment. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective training programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
• Provide training development for employees on safety protocols, emergency response, and occupational health practices.
• Perform root cause analysis of incidents to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety inspections, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
• Stay current with changes in workers' compensation law and ensure organizational compliance.
• Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
• Fabricate safety solutions tailored to specific workplace needs.

Experience

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), , Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS)
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety roles, preferably as a Safety Consultant or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and environmental protection guidelines.
• Experience in report writing with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with CPR certification and emergency response procedures is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to develop training programs that enhance employee awareness of safety practices.
• Excellent analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and root cause analysis.
