Specialty Technical Consultants, Inc. (STC) is seeking a regulatory analyst to join our team and support our expanding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Regulatory Information Services. Our services help clients stay updated on global EHS regulatory changes, assess their impact on business operations, and minimize compliance risks. The successful candidate will assist in developing and updating EHS regulatory tools for global jurisdictions with an emphasis on Latin American jurisdictions. Additionally, the candidate will support client projects, improve regulatory tools, and contribute to marketing and communication efforts to enhance the company’s presence and services.

The successful candidate must have EHS regulatory compliance expertise in at least one Latin American jurisdiction. Fluency in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Research EHS regulatory and sustainability policies, laws, regulations, standards, and guidance documents for Latin American jurisdictions.

• Summarize and present regulatory changes and their potential impact on clients' operations.

• Monitor emerging EHS regulatory and sustainability issues, keeping clients informed of new developments.

• Share EHS regulatory knowledge with the STC team.

• Conduct technical reviews of EHS regulatory tools.

• Address client inquiries and specific EHS concerns.

• Complete tasks on time, within scope, budget, and deliverable expectations.

• Communicate regularly with STC mentor and project team.

• Contribute to business development and marketing efforts.

• Build strong collaborative relationships with team members and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, sustainability management, law, or related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in EHS regulatory compliance.

• Ability to work in multiple EHS topics.

• Experience with EHS legislation and policy in non-U.S. jurisdictions required.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

• Proficiency in French, Italian, and/or Portuguese is considered a plus, but is not required.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences.

• Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

• Ability to multi-task, stay flexible, and work independently in a remote work environment.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
