Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor to support an active MGP remediation project in Eastern Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will bring on-site EHS consulting experience on remediation projects across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The role ensures OSHA/EPA compliance and acts as the on-site safety authority, collaborating with project management, field crews, and subcontractors to maintain a safe, compliant and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is required.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience with direct field oversight responsibilities.
  • Experience on environmental remediation, utility, or MGP sites.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate job-site hazards.
  • Effective communicator with field crews, supervisors, subcontractors, and management.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
  • Perform daily hazard assessments and modify controls as site conditions evolve.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and client safety requirements; monitor subcontractor safety and take corrective actions.
  • Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials; ensure PPE use and exposure controls.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses; develop corrective and preventative measures.
  • Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings; provide task-specific safety training for remediation activities.
  • Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions; support audits and safety reporting.
  • Monitor PPE selection, condition, and proper use, including respiratory protection when required.

Resource Options (ROI) is hiring an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor to support an MGP remediation project in Eastern Pennsylvania. We’re looking for someone with on-site experience with EHS consulting on environmental remediation projects in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to support an active environmental remediation project. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and site-specific safety requirements during hazardous material removal and remediation activities. The EHS Manager will serve as the on-site safety authority, working closely with project management, field crews, and subcontractors to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hazard Management & Mitigation
    • Develop, implement, and enforce Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
    • Perform daily hazard assessments and modify controls as site conditions evolve
  • Compliance & Inspection
    • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and client safety requirements
    • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Safety Monitoring
    • Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
    • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to exposure control requirements
  • Incident Response
    • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents
    • Develop and implement corrective and preventative measures

    • Monitor selection, condition, and proper use of specialized PPE, including respiratory protection where required
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (required)
  • 5+ years of EHS experience, with direct field oversight responsibilities
  • Proven experience working in an EHS capacity on environmental remediation, utility, or MGP (Manufactured Gas Plant) sites
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate job-site hazards
  • Effective communicator capable of working with field crews, supervisors, subcontractors, and management
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

Pay Range: $35.00/hr - $45.00/hr.
