Job summary

Sauder Family Companies is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Assistant to support compliance data, records, and training. The role coordinates with internal safety teams and external partners to ensure timely regulatory reporting, permit applications, and documentation.

The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and eager to learn EHS and compliance processes. Experience in manufacturing environments and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.
• Experience in administrative support, compliance records, or EHS in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel including formulas, data entry, tracking, and basic analysis.
• Experience with PowerPoint to create training materials.
• Ability to learn systems such as SAP, Avantis, and an LMS.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Collect, enter, analyze, and organize compliance data using Excel with attention to detail.
• Enter and maintain data in SAP and Avantis for safety, environmental, and compliance processes.
• Conduct shop-floor walkthroughs to gather information for regulatory reporting.
• Create clear training materials using PowerPoint.
• Coordinate with external compliance providers for reporting and permit applications.
• Maintain environmental and safety records for easy access and accuracy.
• Collaborate on training development and tracking with Safety Team.
• Review safety data sheet library and ensure proper approvals for new substances.
