Job summary

Associated Packaging, Inc. in Gallatin, TN is seeking an EH&S Specialist to develop and lead the company’s environmental, health, and safety program to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

The role involves ensuring OSHA compliance across home office and branches, maintaining the Safety Program and Manual, training staff, and tracking OSHA logs, incidents, and workers' comp factors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred.
• One to three years of related experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and policies
• Some domestic travel to API branches

Responsibilities

• Ensure home office and branch operations comply with OSHA and applicable regulations.
• Maintain the Safety Program and Manual; train personnel to comply with the manual.
• Maintain hazardous material records (disposal, spills, etc).
• Track and report OSHA 300 & 300A logs for all facilities; investigate incidents and near misses.
• Facilitate corrective actions; monitor workers' comp claims for EMR below 1.0.
• Develop sustainability policy and coordinate related projects (energy reduction, recycling, sustainable packaging).
• Work with HR to implement policies for a healthy work environment.
• Support customer risk management requirements as identified by third-party providers.
• Other tasks as assigned
