Job summary

Solenis is a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions, seeking an Environmental Engineer to support permitting, monitoring, and regulatory compliance across facilities. The role emphasizes data collection, KPI reporting, and environmental recordkeeping in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in related fields, knowledge of RCMS/ISO 14001, and 3–5 years’ experience with air, water, and waste permits, with strong Excel and database skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Occupational Health and Safety. Other degrees in the sciences will be considered.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards, groundwater management and chemical inventory (SARA 311/312/313) a plus.
• Experience working with Air and different Water permits.
• Knowledge of The Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) 3 – 5 years’ work experience in a manufacturing/industrial environmental systems or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support construction project environmental permitting requirements
• Support technical monitoring systems and data collection for all site permits
• Maintain environmental recordkeeping/reports and corporate sustainability metrics
• Assist with activities involving regulatory agencies in the areas of air, water, and waste management, including site inspections to maintain environmental compliance in all aspects of environmental regulations and permit requirements
• Assist with preparation of required permits, licenses, or approvals
• Assist with submitting specified required reports to external agencies or stakeholders to meet all regulatory deadlines
• Monitor emerging regulatory and industry issues that may affect facility
• Monitoring and tracking of all relevant environmental data (i.e. waste generation, water consumption, energy consumption, etc.) for environmental KPI metric reporting and identification of trends
• Shipping Hazardous and non-hazardous waste off site, preparing Biennial Waste Report, implementing waste cost saving efforts
