Job summary

Dakota Bodies, LLC is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety leader to manage safety programs across ATW operations. The role includes coordinating audits and inspections, training management and associates on EHS practices, and administering the SDS program to ensure regulatory compliance.

The candidate will monitor safety metrics, lead waste minimization, and liaise with agencies for inspections. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred with 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents; write reports and business correspondence.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, state/federal DOT HazMat regulations; PC software skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategy development for incident/injury reduction and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Audit/inspect assigned facility at set frequency to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor leading and lagging indicators; provide updates to leaders to align with business goals.
• Provide training for management, supervision and associates on EHS policies and procedures.
• Administer SDS program and support tracking for calculations and report filing.
• Lead waste minimization and safe storage of waste and chemicals per standards.
• Interface with outside agencies, inspectors and consultants.
• Track safety actions and ensure corrective actions are completed; maintain records.
• Establish safety programs and industrial hygiene duties (hearing conservation, airborne hazards, PPE, etc.).
• Investigate injuries and participate in root cause analyses; support investigations.
