Job summary

Trinity Rail Maintenance Services is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator for our Fort Worth, TX facility. You will implement environmental programs, monitor compliance, and collaborate with operations to improve environmental performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or equivalent experience and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The position focuses on regulatory adherence, waste management, and safety initiatives at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Administer and monitor corporate and BU environmental programs.
• Perform routine inspections of waste areas, wastewater systems, stormwater controls, tanks and chemical storage areas.
• Support compliance with air, wastewater, stormwater permits, SPCC plans, and environmental regulations.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs and disposal documentation.
• Maintain environmental records including inspections, manifests, and permit documents.
• Collect data and assist in preparing required regulatory reports and submittals.
• Investigate incidents, spills and permit deviations; document findings and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to improve environmental compliance.
• Assist with pollution prevention, waste minimization, and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist with environmental training and awareness activities.
• Build relationships across the facility and serve as an environmental resource to operations.
• Lead small environmental improvement projects and support site-wide compliance initiatives.
