Job summary

Wyman-Gordon is seeking a proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Intern to assist with developing and coordinating EH&S programs in line with federal, state, and local laws. The internship is on-site and can be part-time (20+ hours/week) or full-time, with scheduling based on availability and course load.

You will support committees, maintain environmental reporting, training documentation, inspections, hazard analyses, and safety communications while gaining exposure to regulatory

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in environmental/OSH fields.
• Familiar with Cal/OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist EH&S committees (safety, 6S, SWPPP).
• Maintain environmental reporting records.
• Coordinate safety training documentation for new hires and staff.
• Assist with plant safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Participate in process hazard analyses and reviews.
• Update chemical inventory and safety data sheets.
• Help develop lockout/tagout procedures with EH&S Manager.
• Assist with Safety Management software administration (Gensuite).
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to monthly sustainability data entry reporting.
• Support new hire safety orientations.
• Collaborate with leads to review job hazard analyses and updates.
• Create presentations for leadership on current projects.
• Assist with regulatory programs (CAA, RCRA, CWA, EPCRA, DOT, OSHA).
• Other duties as required.
