Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations including EPA, OSHA and Washington State regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate safety solutions based on proactive risk assessments to maximize worker protection in R&D and lab settings.
• Oversee the creation of educational materials, program documentation, and digital tracking systems to ensure safety solutions scale across the Bay Area cluster.
• Partner with the site leads to embed safety protocols into daily operations, ensuring minimal friction and maximum compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments; draft high-level reports for leadership on site safety and health.
• Lead RCA investigations for incidents or near misses, identifying corrective actions and ensuring they are tracked to completion, while also ensuring environmental permitting and compliance at local, state, and federal levels.
