Qualifications

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited university is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Natural Sciences, Physics).
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Collect/clean/analyze EHS data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop/maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for key EHS metrics (Good Saves, CAPAs).
  • Identify trends to support proactive safety measures and risk reduction.
  • Collaborate with EHS, Operations, and Management for data-driven insights.
  • Support risk assessment and incident prevention projects.
  • Assist with EHS audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Review/update JSAs to align with EHS standards.
  • Document updated JSAs in company systems and link to training curriculum.
  • Identify areas needing new JSAs and support creation/implementation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.

We are searching for the best talent for EHS Analyst Co-Opto be in Manati, PR.

  • The Co-op term is from January to December, 2027.
  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
Purpose:

The EHS Co-Op will support the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team through data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will help monitor key safety metrics, support incident prevention efforts, and ensure compliance with Johnson & Johnson EHS standards by maintaining Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and related training requirements.

You will be responsible for:
  • Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing EHS data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key EHS metrics such as Good Saves, Incident Investigations, and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Identifying trends and patterns to support proactive safety measures and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborating with EHS, Operations, and Management teams to provide data-driven recommendations and insights.
  • Supporting risk assessment and incident prevention projects through data analysis.
  • Assisting with EHS audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Reviewing, updating, and maintaining Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure alignment with Johnson & Johnson EHS standards.
  • Ensuring updated JSAs are properly documented within company systems and linked to the appropriate training curriculum.
  • Identifying areas that require new JSAs and supporting their creation and implementation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that promote workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited university is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural Sciences, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Experience analyzing data and creating dashboards is preferred.
