Job summary

Eaton in Nacogdoches, TX is seeking an EHS Analyst to support environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. The role covers establishing EHS objectives, reporting, regulatory alignment, and ensuring ISO 14001 compliance. Relocation assistance is provided.

The candidate will help drive EHS metrics, training, and a strong EHS culture across the site, with a focus on continuous improvement and MESH integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; three years EHS experience; one year in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Supports EHS targets and objectives for plant, Value Streams, and EHS team.
  • Assists in tracking leading and lagging indicators for EHS performance.
  • Supports MESH element champions and facilitates engagement in ownership of MESH elements.
  • Leads at least one MESH element and promotes zero incident EHS culture.
  • Delivers EHS training and ensures key operational controls are in place and tracked.

Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS Analyst.

This role is located in Nacogdoches, TX. Relocation assistance will be provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What You’ll Do

The EHS Senior Analyst supports environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. Individual is accountable for: supporting EHS activities at his/her location(s), including establishing EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements. Position is responsible for: supporting site Eaton’s Management of Environmental, Safety Security, and Health (MESH) and ISO14001 certification; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; supporting actions during crises, supporting the creation of a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.

In This Function You Will
  • Supports EHS Leader in setting EHS targets & objectives for the plant, Value Streams, and EHS team.
  • Supports the creation of EHS goals and/or objectives for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
  • Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Supports development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
  • Supports the development and maintaining of risk assessments at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and opportunities for safety improvements for jobs/tasks.
  • Supports tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance.
  • Supports the preparation of reports of key EHS performance indicators to track leading and lagging indicators and supporting EHS information for presentation to Leadership group(s).
  • Supports MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
  • Lead at least one MESH element(s).
  • Supports and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
  • Leads EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
  • Works with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
  • Supports efforts for third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class.
  • Recognizes and can integrate principle Continuous Improvement (Lean/CI) concepts into EHS and vice-versa.
  • Provides support on using established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data.
  • Provides support to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
  • Conducts EHS training as required to ensure safe operations and compliance.
  • Supports efforts to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of experience in an EHS-related field
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline from an accredited institution
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • IH, CSP and/or CHMM professional credential
  • Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 standards
  • Proven track record of safety metric performance and improvement
  • Lean Fundamentals understanding
Skills
