UC Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Epic Beaker EHR2 Analyst to oversee implementation and daily production support of Epic Beaker modules (Clinical Pathology, Anatomical Pathology, Genomics) for Laboratory systems, and to support Lab interfaces and software applications.

You will define system functionality with users, develop specifications, test software, coordinate releases, and lead requirements gathering with clinical and operations stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required or four years of experience in lieu.
  • Epic Beaker certification(s) required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in clinical labs or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Information System (LIS) integration and support.
  • Lab instrument integration and Beckman Automation System interfacing.
  • Develop and document operational procedures and coordinate software release procedures.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with clinical and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide Level 2 support for complex incidents and escalations.
  • Configure and maintain Epic workflows, tools, security, and documentation templates.
  • Assist in upgrades, release validation, and new feature implementations.

Job Description

Epic Beaker EHR2 Analyst is responsible for the implementation and daily production support of Epic Beaker modules (Clinical Pathology, Anatomical Pathology, Genomics) for the UCH Laboratory systems and implementation and support of designated Lab instrument interfaces and software applications in accordance with departmental standards and procedures. Works with users to define system functionality, information flow, reports and data requirements. Develops specifications and documents operational procedures, tests software, and coordinates software release procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Four years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Epic Beaker certification(s)
Preferred
  • Medical Lab Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist (MLT or MLS).
  • Medical lab experience or a clinical background.

Significant interaction with Lab Operations to research and complete test build and expert rules.

Project leadership and support for various projects.

Certification And Knowledge Maintenance
  • Maintain certification(s).
System Configuration And Workflow Management
  • Configure and maintain Epic workflows, tools, security, rules, and documentation templates.
  • Support collection and documentation of workflow requirements.
  • Assist in upgrades, release validation, and new feature implementations.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with clinical and operational stakeholders.
Testing And Optimization
  • Create and execute integrated test plans.
  • Participate in testing activities including execution of test scripts and validation of build changes.
  • Perform release note reviews, workflow validation, and optimization activities (not limited to).
Support And Compliance
  • Provide Level 2 support for complex incidents and escalations.
  • Maintain adherence to change management standards.
