  • Duration: Through July 31, 2027 (~9 months)
  • Daily Working Hours: Full-Time preferred
  • Travel: Travel to Hawaii
  • Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Project Scope

We are seeking one to two EHR / Practice Readiness Assessment Consultants to conduct structured, physician-friendly practice assessments supporting a physician network technology and interoperability initiative across Hawaii. Consultants in this role will gather reliable, consistent evidence across assigned practices without making premature implementation promises. Consultants will work as integrated members of the project team and may represent the initiative with practices under approved titles and communications.

Position Summary

This is a field-based assessment role for a healthcare IT professional who is comfortable engaging directly with physicians and non-technical practice staff, observing how things actually work, and documenting findings with consistency and care. You will conduct structured readiness assessments across a diverse landscape of independent practices — certified EHRs, legacy systems, paper-based workflows — and contribute reliable evidence to a broader technology strategy effort. You will be supervised and mentored by a Senior EHR / Practice Assessment Consultant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite and virtual practice readiness assessments across assigned independent physician practices and community health organizations.
  • Gather information on EHR platforms, versions, certification status, paper-based processes, and connectivity through structured interviews and direct observation.
  • Document scheduling, clinical documentation, referral, and care coordination workflows along with hardware, network, and staffing context.
  • Engage physicians, practice managers, and clinical staff in a professional, low-pressure manner that builds trust and encourages candor.
  • Avoid making implementation promises or previewing outcomes — gather and document, do not commit.
  • Produce complete, consistent assessment documentation that supports synthesis by senior team members.
  • Escalate concerns, red flags, or situations outside your scope to senior consultants or program leadership promptly.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in ambulatory EHR, clinical IT, practice operations, or health IT consulting.
  • Strong listening, observation, and documentation skills — able to capture what is actually happening, not what staff think you want to hear.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with physicians and non-technical staff in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Willing and available to work onsite at practices and travel inter-island as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Hawaii independent physician practices, IPAs, or community health organizations.
  • Familiarity with multiple ambulatory EHR platforms and awareness of certification requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of interface or interoperability concepts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Curious, observant, and methodical — someone who listens more than they talk and documents what they find accurately.
  • Comfortable in varied, unpredictable practice environments where no two assessments look the same.
  • Hawaii-based candidates or those with direct Hawaii independent practice experience are strongly preferred.
  • Professional and trustworthy in the field — practices will form impressions of the broader initiative based on every interaction.
  • Eager to learn from senior team members and contribute to a cohesive, high-quality assessment process.

When working with Quoris as a consultant, you are eligible for competitive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, and a great culture/working environment.
