The role requires meticulous EHR handling, scanning, indexing, and invoicing of third-party requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in medical records management preferred.
• Experience working with payer portals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and organize patient medical records in the EHR system.
• Scan, index, and upload patient documents including referrals, lab reports, hospital records, imaging, and provider correspondence.
• Review records for completeness and accuracy and identify missing documents.
• Process incoming medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA and practice policies.
• Maintain logs of record requests, disclosures, and releases; coordinate transfers with hospitals and providers.
• Respond to inquiries about medical records status and release procedures; ensure turnaround times.
