Job summary

North Florida Medical Centers is seeking an EHR Director to lead all projects related to Electronic Medical Records, including EHR, HIE, HIT, and Practice Management systems. The role guides functional leaders and their teams, ensuring successful EMR implementations and ongoing optimization across the organization.

This on-site position based at the corporate office in Tallahassee, FL, with occasional travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in business engineering, sciences, business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or health informatics.
• Project Management certification or 2 years’ experience.
• Must become a certified professional in EHR within 18 months of hire, and optionally, add certification in HIE and HIT.

Responsibilities

• Lead on all EMR-related projects including EHR, HIE, HIT, and PM for North Florida Medical Centers.
• Guide functional leaders and their teams to implement EMR effectively.

Job Location: Corporate Office - Tallahassee, FL, Education Level: Bachelor Degree or higher required, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Some.

Summary

Lead on all projects related to North Florida Medical Centers’ Electronic Medical Records to include: Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIE), Health Information Technology (HIT), and Practice Management (PM). Guides the work of functional leaders and their teams relative to the EMR.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The EHR Director is the direct supervisor of the EHR Training Specialist I and II, and other EHR staff.

Schedule / Hours

Full Time

• Monday - Friday
• Typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• No weekends

Circumstances may require the employee to work hours outside of those listed, but that is rare.

Location

This position is based at the Corporate Office in Tallahassee, FL, and may require travel to our other locations.

This is not a remote position.

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience

• Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in business engineering, sciences, business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or health informatics. Master’s degree preferred.

• Experience with EHR, EDR, and other EMR systems a plus. Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred.
