Job summary

The Application Specialist at Cantex provides enterprise-level support for our EHR systems, including Homecare Home Base, PointClickCare, Netsmart myUnity, and NetHealth. You will diagnose issues, guide users through solutions, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely resolutions.

You will create knowledge base articles, maintain documentation, and support a fast-paced healthcare environment by delivering clear, step-by-step assistance via phone, email, or chat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Application Specialist or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Homecare Home Base, PointClickCare, Netsmart myUnity, or NetHealth.
• Strong understanding of cloud-hosted healthcare applications.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot application issues.
• Familiarity with remote desktop tools and help desk ticketing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical assistance verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for Homecare Home Base, PointClickCare, NetHealth, and Netsmart myUnity.
• Research and identify solutions by collaborating with application vendors and internal teams.
• Create knowledge base articles and documentation for recurring issues.
• Ask targeted questions to quickly identify root causes.
• Deliver prompt and accurate feedback to users.
• Use internal databases and external resources to provide accurate solutions.
• Ensure all issues are properly logged in the ticketing system.
• Prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
• Document technical knowledge in notes, manuals, and solution articles.
• Guide users through troubleshooting steps via phone, email, or chat.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports related to application performance and issue trends.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with clients and team members.
