Job summary

Stonhard is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safe operation of its Maple Shade and Cherry Hill facilities. You will lead OSHA compliance, conduct inspections, and coordinate EH&S training and recordkeeping for all staff in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementing loss-reduction measures while partnering with corporate EH&S to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Safety Management or related field required.
• 3–5 years of related experience in safety programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local fire codes and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Maple Shade, NJ.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primarily responsible for assuring the safe operation of Stonhard's manufacturing and warehousing facilities in New Jersey, compliance with all applicable regulations and training of Stonhard personnel in applicable requirements.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for general OSHA (Title 29CFR) compliance in all Stonhard manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Maple Shade, NJ.
• Ensure facility compliance with all applicable national and state mandated fire protection codes in all Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ.
• Responsible for implementing, conducting, and maintaining OSHA required programs, training and recordkeeping of all Stonhard employees located in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ facilities.
• Assist and work closely with the Corporate Manager- Environmental, Health and Safety with safety and environmental inspections, sustaining EH&S metrics, permitting and compliance.
• Responsible for tracking daily and weekly facility housekeeping/compliance inspections at all Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ facilities.
• Coordinate emergency response for hazardous material and hazardous waste incidents.Also has responsibility for maintaining spill response readiness (spill cabinets).
• Responsible for maintaining and enforcing PPE requirements and supplies for all facilities in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ.
• Responsible for conducting incident / near miss investigations, root cause analysis, and assignment of corrective actions.
• Responsible for proposing implementing and maintaining loss reduction measures, programs and training at all Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ facilities.
• Responsible for hosting monthly safety meetings and presenting monthly compliance training to manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ

Minimum Requirements

• BS Degree in Safety Management
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Knowledge of Contractor Safety
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Knowledge of EPA regulations
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal fire codes and regulations

Physical Requirements

• This position requires consistent wearing of safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances while on the worksite.
