Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking an EH&S leader for MTNA Service Organization in Columbus, OH. You will drive yearly improvements in safety culture, lead safety education, and ensure OSHA/regulatory compliance across field and office operations.

The role requires the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders, conduct risk assessments, and guide corrective actions while maintaining documentation and training across sites in the United States and Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience with OSHA, EPA and local regulations and programs.
• Strong coaching, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues and implement solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Experience in incident classification, investigation and corrective actions.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to deliver training to all levels of staff.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience including compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategies that improve the EH&S culture across MTNA.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Provide safety leadership to employees, managers, and contractors.
• Develop and improve EH&S programs and initiatives.
• Ensure operations meet OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• Provide comprehensive safety trainings, including new hires and visitors.
• Promote safety culture via training, engagement, and near-miss reporting.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Lead or support investigations, root cause analysis and workers' comp activities.
• Maintain EH&S documentation and SharePoint resources.
• Coordinate contractor safety training and access control processes.
• Monitor building security systems and emergency response readiness.
• Support government reporting requirements (OSHA, EPA, GAIA).
• Act as a company leader balancing team needs with METTLER TOLEDO interests.
