Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking an Project Specialist to lead EH&S for the Queens territory, coordinating with unions, supervisors, and contractors to ensure safe operations. You will drive EH&S programs across Astoria operations, including Fleet, Cranes, and Environmental Services, and integrate requirements into training and projects.

Responsibilities include leading investigations, incident response, and developing core EH&S documents while collaborating with TLC leadership

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EH&S lead and senior field representative for the Queens territory.
• Provide programmatic EH&S leadership for Astoria Operations and related sections.
• Lead EH&S program and project implementation for the Learning Center (TLC).
• Coordinate complex EH&S matters with multiple customers and stakeholders.
• Communicate EH&S information at meetings, field safety talks, and tail-board sessions.
• Develop and approve EH&S documents including JSAs, hazard assessments, and plans.
• Lead investigations of injuries, incidents, and environmental events.
• Provide leadership for environmental incident response and waste management.
• Review EHASPs for the Queens territory to ensure consistency and coverage.
• Willingness to travel or report to various Company locations and respond 24/7 to emergencies.
