Job summary

Layton Construction in Utah is seeking a Safety Manager to implement corporate, field, and office ESH policies across multiple project sites. You will lead safety programs, ensure OSHA/MSHA compliance, and guide incident investigations and training.

Travel across the U.S. for deployments, review regulatory changes, and partner with project teams to build a culture of safety and quality. A bachelor’s in Environmental Safety & Health and 5+ years of experience are required; CCIP/CHST/ASP preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ESH experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. as project needs dictate.
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and deliver predictable outcomes for teams and partners.
• Oversee safety programs on all assigned projects, including CCIP and risk management initiatives.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and technical guidance to leaders and crews.
• Review audits, incident data, and training to identify risks and improve programs.
• Lead incident review meetings and ensure timely reporting and preventive actions.
• Travel regularly to project sites to support deployment and compliance.
