Associated Electric Cooperative is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Intern for a three‑month summer assignment at the New Madrid Power Plant. This paid internship offers exposure to environmental compliance or workplace safety while you learn from seasoned professionals.

You will assist EH&S staff with projects, support environmental monitoring, data collection, and safety inspections in a real power generation environment, helping keep our operations safe and compliant.

Formación

• Enrolled in college/university pursuing EH&S related degree.
• Interest in environmental compliance, workplace safety, or utility industry.
• Ability to commit to a three-month summer internship.

Responsabilidades

• Assist EH&S professionals with projects related to environmental compliance, occupational safety, or both.
• Support environmental monitoring, data collection, and compliance activities involving air, water, and waste.
• Assist with workplace safety inspections, audits, training, and other initiatives to protect employees and plant operations.
• Gain firsthand exposure to EH&S practices, regulatory requirements, and utility operations in a power generation environment.

Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering / Occupational Safety degree
