Job summary

Loenbro in Afton, TX is seeking an EHS Coordinator II to lead site safety programs and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

You will oversee EHS protocols, conduct audits, provide training, and implement programs to minimize risk and protect workers across the site. This exempt, full-time role reports to the EH&S Manager.

You will collaborate with operations and site leadership to foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Minimum 5 years in heavy industrial construction, with at least 3 years in a safety role.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regs, standards, and codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess hazards and develop mitigation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• OSHA 30 required.
• Minimum 5 years prior experience working within the heavy industrial construction industry, including manufacturing, pipeline, mining, food and beverage, power, and refining environments with at least 3 years in a safety role.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.

Preferred

• CSST or Equivalent
• MSHA Certification or background preferred.

Work Environment

• Outside most of the time.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
• Limited working surfaces
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility
• Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
• Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
