Job summary

Suncor in Cheyenne seeks an EH&S Advisor to lead regulatory and safety programs across U.S. pipelines facilities. You will champion DOT, PHMSA, OSHA compliance and environmental rules while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.

Requirements include a degree in Occupational Health & Safety and BCSP accreditation, plus 5 years in oil and gas health, safety, and regulatory matters. This is an office-based role with relocation assistance and a strong focus on safety programs.

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety and accreditation by the BCSP
• 5 years’ experience with safety, health and regulatory matters in oil and gas
• Understanding of Federal and State environmental, health & safety and emergency management legislation
• Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA

Responsibilities

• Support regulatory compliance programs with DOT, OSHA, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Conduct Worksite Safety Assessments for conformance with critical safety controls.
• Ensure conformance to standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform emergency preparedness and response duties.
• Support contractor management with hazard identification and safety plans.
• Provide technical support on regulatory safety issues to improve compliance.
• Fulfill information requests for regulatory audits.
• Prepare and submit environmental and regulatory reports for facilities in the U.S.
