Job summary

Dow Chemical in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada seeks a Safety Compliance Lead to ensure EH&S regulatory adherence and foster a culture of workplace safety. Responsibilities include executing EH&S programs, integrating safety into plant operations, serving as an EH&S knowledge resource, and training teams on protocols.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in EH&S, OH&S, or a similar field.
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Visa support is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Executes EH&S programs effectively by following structured processes, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Ensures environmental, health, and safety standards are integrated into plant operations to achieve performance objectives.
• Acts as a resource for plant staff, providing EH&S-related insights, procedural knowledge, and compliance information.
• Serves as the designated contact for environmental and industrial hygiene concerns.
• Trains and supports teams in implementing EH&S protocols.
• Works towards achieving plant EH&S performance indicators and goals.
• Ensures completion of all necessary safety and regulatory compliance activities.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene assessments, including monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
