Job summary

Versova is seeking a Candler I for the Sioux Center, IA location to ensure only high-quality eggs are processed on the production line. You will monitor and remove poor quality eggs, including those with eggshells, rotten eggs, dirty eggs, and bloody eggs, as well as any foreign materials.

This full-time role requires adaptation to fluctuating egg quality and speed, plus adherence to USDA rules and safety programs. Training others and supporting plant staff are expected responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in manufacturing or processing settings.
• Ability to operate egg processing equipment and perform counting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and remove poor quality eggs from the production line.
• Ensure eggs meet USDA requirements and remove foreign materials.
• Identify and remove dirt, rotten or bloody eggs from the flow.
• Assist with clean-up and training of teammates as needed.
• Adhere to GMP, SQF, HACCP, safety and biosecurity programs.
