Job summary

Sauder's Eggs, a family company with 60 years in eggs, is seeking a quality assurance worker to perform daily egg processing QA checks at the plant level. Responsibilities include sampling for grade specs, inspecting detectors and scales, and recording pH and temperatures per HACCP.

You will support production staff and ensure compliance with Pa and USDA standards. The role requires standing 8–10 hours on a hard floor, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working Sunday-Thursday 8:00pm to finish.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic Quality Assurance checks and recording data.
• Demonstrated ability to work with other people, work with other department employees, inspectorial agency employees.
• Thorough understanding of standards, measurements and metrics and applicable basic mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the incoming and outgoing eggs meet quality standards.
• Randomly sample eggs offline to check for grade specifications.
• Check and inspect cracks and dirty egg detector units for proper functioning.
• Inspect and check scales on a weekly basis.
• Follow HACCP Program and perform the required checks for pH, wash temperatures and related records.
• Be familiar with Pa Certification requirements and USDA standards.
• Assist production personnel with daily issues, problems, mishaps.
• Inspect all bought eggs for quality standards.
• Be familiar with packaging operations, date coders and traceability requirements.
