Job summary

Versova is seeking a motivated Egg Hand on the production line in Ohio to ensure only high-quality eggs are processed. You will monitor, sort, and remove defective eggs and foreign materials, while maintaining safety and USDA standards in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Ability to operate egg processing equipment.
• Basic math skills for counting and measuring.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail and quality consciousness.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures in a food processing environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Time management skills to maintain production pace.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and remove poor quality eggs from the production line.
• Ensure processed eggs meet or exceed USDA requirements.
• Remove eggshells, bloody eggs, dirty eggs, and rotten eggs from the flow of edible product.
• Identify and remove any foreign materials from the product flow.
• Place dirty eggs onto flats for re-washing.
• Notify plant manager/supervisor of excessive broken eggs or machine deficiencies.
• Assist with clean-up activities and removal of inedible product.
• Comply with USDA regulations, GMPs, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies, HACCP, and Food Defense Programs.
• Communicate effectively with plant staff.
• Help train and assist other team members as needed.
