Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Farm Laborer to support egg handling and poultry production. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to biosecurity and culling procedures.

You will monitor shed conditions, move eggs, and maintain orderly work areas in a fast-paced farm setting. Responsibilities include transferring eggs to trays, loading eggs into coolers, and assisting with mortality removal while following established procedures and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with egg-handling and poultry production preferred.
• Ability to lift and move items in a poultry environment.
• Basic math and counting abilities for inventory and records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures.
• Experience working in agricultural and poultry production environments.

Responsibilities

• Transfer eggs into trays and place trays onto egg buggies.
• Push full egg buggies into egg coolers and load eggs to designated areas.
• Walk poultry houses to identify and remove mortality and ensure cleanliness.
• Return eggs to nests and address egg jams.
• Clean and disinfect the egg room on a weekly basis.
• Follow safety, biosecurity, and culling procedures.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.
