Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Tift County EFNEP Program Assistant to support educational programs in the SW District. Based in Tift County, you will work with County Extension Agents on food and nutrition education for limited-resource clients.

This paraprofessional role requires strong communication, the ability to relate to diverse groups, and reliable independent judgment. The position is full-time with standard hours, driving required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience relating to diverse groups preferred.
• Ability to work with limited-resource clients.
• Willingness to drive and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with development, organizing, conducting and will assist in evaluation of education programs for low income adults.
• Assisting with development, organizing, conducting and will assist in evaluation of education programs for low income youths.
• Recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers to assist with activities.
• Participates in in-service staff development.
• Assists with Extension/ EFNEP events in county
