Job summary

NC Cooperative Extension is seeking an EFNEP Educator to deliver nutrition education to enrolled participants under county supervision. The educator recruits youth and adults, conducts group teaching, and maintains records while collaborating with district and state EFNEP staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and knowledge of community resources; nutrition education experience is preferred, with travel within the county and state as required.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the community and social service programs for limited resource families.
• Experience teaching and/or working with limited resource adults; nutrition education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll adult and school-age youth participants.
• Make regular teaching visits to enrollees in group settings; teach nutrition and food preparation.
• Submit required program records; market the program within the assigned area.
• Recruit volunteers and collaborate with local Cooperative Extension staff.
• Assist with securing program resources.
