Job summary

University of Florida in Hillsborough County is seeking a Nutrition Educator to deliver EFNEP-based nutrition education to youth and adults, recruit participants through community outreach, and partner with local organizations to support program participation. You will implement a structured curriculum, collect data, maintain confidentiality, and travel within the county.

A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; preferred candidates have a background in nutrition or health

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation.

Responsibilities

• Promotes EFNEP and recruits eligible youth and adult participants through community outreach and partnerships.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with community organizations to coordinate nutrition education programs and support participant success.
• Delivers engaging, learner-centered nutrition education using approved curricula across a minimum of six lessons per participant group.
• Collects participant information and uses approved evaluation tools to measure knowledge gain and behavior change while protecting confidentiality.
• Represents EFNEP at health fairs and community events to increase program awareness and recruit participants.
• Plans and coordinates nutrition education programs with partners, organizes materials and logistics for successful delivery.
• Travels within the county; occasional overnight travel for statewide trainings.
