Job summary

UNFI in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking an Order Selection team member to accurately pull customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse. You will palletize orders, move products with an Electric Pallet Jack, and ensure proper locations.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with competitive benefits and weekly pay. Starting pay is $20.50/hour, with an additional $1.00/hour for freezer environments when applicable; weekend Sundays work with guaranteed Saturday off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Warehouse experience selecting preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Good vision and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Identify pick locations and safely pick items.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Pick correct item and quantity, check UPCs/descriptions.
• Place labels on the side of cases.
• Shrink wrap and label with required information.
• Stage pallets in appropriate bay and build a stable pallet.
• Inform supervisor of safety threats and keep area clean.
• Operate pallet jack/pushcart safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate good judgment when supervision is not immediately available.
