Job summary

UNFI in Mechanicsville, VA is hiring for an Order Selection associate responsible for accurately pulling customer orders from the warehouse and palletizing them for shipment. You will operate Electric Pallet Jacks and ensure items are placed in correct locations, all while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, adapting to temperature changes, and working Sundays plus four weekdays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Warehouse experience in picking is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 75 lb and handle variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Identify pick locations and safely pick items.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Pick correct item and quantity with UPC checks.
• Apply labels to cases.
• Shrink wrap and label for truck stops.
• Stage pallets in proper bays and build stable pallets.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Operate pallet jack/pushcart safely.
• Follow supervision requirements when needed.
