Job summary

Openwork, based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Forklift Operator to perform order picking and safe material movement within a distribution warehouse. Hours are 8:30 AM–6:00 PM, with a 90‑day payout raise if attendance is perfect.

You will operate sit-down forklifts, load/unload cargo, scan inventory with RF devices, and support counts and stock rotation. A clean safety record, OSHA certification, and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sit-down forklift experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification (OSHA or equivalent).
• Ability to read work orders and safety guidelines.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts safely to move materials within a warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
• Transport goods to designated storage areas or lines.
• Stack and arrange materials on shelves or pallets.
• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and report issues.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operations.
• Use RF scanners or inventory systems to record movements.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
• Secure loads to prevent shifting.
• Keep work area clean and forklift maintained.
• Communicate with supervisors and dispatchers about movements.
• Adhere to production schedules and ensure timely material movement.
