Job summary

Flanigan's is seeking Prep Cooks to organize, prep, and stage items for service, ensuring an efficient, well‑oiled kitchen. You will handle chopping, weighing, washing, storing, and helping stations run smoothly throughout shifts.

You must follow safety policies, read recipes and labels, operate basic kitchen equipment, and assist with dishwashing and closing duties. The role requires flexible hours, ability to stand long shifts, and teamwork to deliver quality plates to guests.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.
• Able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand 100% of shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read recipes and food labels; read POS ticket orders.
• Complete and pass food safety certification per Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Prepares menu items according to Flanigan’s company recipe manual and plate presentation.
• Ensures rotation of all products and stocks products to par level, to ensure kitchen is not disrupted.
• Helps complete assigned prep work, to stock and set up stations as necessary.
• Transports items to and from kitchen, helps Vendor unload delivery trucks.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area throughout shift.
• Breaks down and cleans all stations at closing.
