Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Carpet Cushion Dock Loader on 1st shift at our Lakeland, FL manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for operating equipment used to load finished products into trailers for delivery, while meeting production and quality standards for the department.

The successful candidate will communicate verbally and in writing with the department and supervisor. The position requires safe forklift operation and basic computer use (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift loading/unloading experience required.
• Basic computer experience required; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift and maneuver carpet cushion rolls and foam weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Plan work flow with lead person or supervisor to ensure trailers are loaded.
• Product labeling and quality inspections.
• Work in trucks/trailers in hot and cold conditions.
• Load product into trailers using a squeeze forklift and follow order sequence.
• Scan products to load into the computer shipping system.
