Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Anchorage is seeking a Reconditioning Technician to assess incoming pre-owned vehicles, perform required mechanical work, and get each vehicle frontline ready. The role focuses on used vehicle reconditioning across various makes and models, with throughput impacting earnings in a flat-rate environment.

You should have 2+ years of mechanical or automotive technician experience; Mercedes-Benz experience is not required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical or automotive technician experience.
• Any brand background welcome: domestic, import or luxury.
• ASE certifications a plus – not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough mechanical inspections on incoming used vehicles and identify items to reach frontline-ready condition.
• Complete reconditioning work efficiently on oil/fluids, brakes, tires, belts, filters, and safety items across makes/models.
• Document inspection findings and work on repair orders with clear records.
• Coordinate with used vehicle manager and service team to prioritize reconditioning for fast turnaround.
• Flag items beyond reconditioning scope and escalate as needed.
• Work on a flat-rate structure with throughput and accuracy reflected in pay.
