Job summary

Coast Dental is actively seeking a qualified dental assistant to support dentists in a fast-paced practice. You will perform expanded duties, assist in clinical procedures, maintain infection control, and manage patient flow.

A current EFDA certification and radiography licensure are required, with at least one year of dental experience preferred. You will educate patients, handle documentation, and ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification required or equivalent per state guidelines.
• Radiography licensure required.
• Minimum of one-year dental experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Maintain OSHA infection control standards and safety guidelines.
• Document charting of procedures according to dentist's instructions.
• Welcome, escort and schedule patients; assist in confirmations.
• Explain insurance benefits and financial options to patients.
• Ensure operatories are stocked with inventory and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and notify manager of issues or safety concerns.
• Assist with laboratory duties as necessary.
• Provide patient education on dental health and treatments.
• Attend morning huddles and adhere to office policies.
