Job summary

Chalet Dental is looking for an Expanded Functional Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our practice. The EFDA will support dentists in a range of procedures, from restorative to radiography, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Experience with EFDA duties and state licensure is required. The position is full-time, with a Monday-Thursday schedule and compensation based on experience, ranging from $26.57 to $32.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state-mandated certification/registration training.
• EFDA license required as mandated by state.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a compassionate demeanor.
• Highly organized and attentive to patients’ needs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dental team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during restorative, surgical, exams and cleanings.
• Perform extended functions under supervision: place/finish restorations, impressions, cement posts, sealants, local anesthesia as directed.
• Greet and prepare patients, record dental history and vital signs, maintain records.
• Adhere to infection control, sterilize/disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Take and process dental radiographs with proper positioning and safety.
