Job summary

Dental Care of Solon is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. The role requires a current EFDA certification in Ohio and supports the clinical treatment of patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As an EFDA, you will take and develop X-rays, manage lab equipment, and assist the dentist with procedures while maintaining patient comfort. This position trains and grows within Heartland Dental’s supported office network.

Qualifications

• Must hold current EFDA certification in Ohio.
• Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take and develop X-rays and manage lab equipment.
• Assist dentist with procedures and dental emergencies.
• Maintain patient comfort and educate patients on procedures.
• Help manage the dentist’s schedule and patient flow.
