Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and credentials to function as a Dental Assistant per state requirements.
• Graduation from an ADA accredited dental assisting program and an EFDA.
• Oregon EFDA within 180 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
• Work under the supervision of a dentist and perform four-handed dentistry within the state act.
• Take and develop dental radiographs and assess patient medical history during visits.
• Take impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts and maintain sterilization areas.
