Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic seeks a Part-time Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary to join our team in Toppenish. You will perform dental assisting tasks under dentist supervision, manage radiographs, patient records, and support infection control, while delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations.

Requires EFDA certification, WA registration, BLS with AED, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS with AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary certification within 90 days of employment.
• Washington Registration as a Dental Assistant and EFDA certification.
• EFDA registration must be completed within 7 days of hire.
• Bilingual proficiency English/Spanish with ALTA differential pay.
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and four-handed assisting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient medical records and vital signs.
• Performs complete dental X-ray procedures including panoramic and cephalometric radiographs.
• Prepares instruments and equipment for patient exams.
• Assists as needed in restorative and impression procedures under dentist supervision.
• Supports infection control program and sterilization of instruments and operatory.
• Provides patient education on oral hygiene and care.
