Georgetown North Dental Care in Fort Wayne, Indiana, invites you to join our team as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA). This full-time position offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to develop skills under experienced professionals.

You will assist with a range of procedures, expose radiographs, and maintain accurate records while upholding infection control standards. Training and support are provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• EFDA experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with dental terminology, restorative procedures and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Perform expanded functions including placing/finishing restorations, coronal polishing, and sealant placement.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and organize clinical equipment for patient visits.
• Provide attentive chairside assistance and proactive support to the clinical team.
• Expose and process high-quality digital dental radiographs.
• Maintain accurate patient records, clinical charts, and treatment documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
