Job summary

First Choice Community Health Care INC in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA). This non-exempt position supports a full-range dental services operation and coordinates patient administration and records management under general supervision.

Responsibilities include chair-side assistance across procedures, radiography, sterilization, inventory, triage, and patient education.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• 3 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides chair side assistance to dentists and hygienists for operative, preventive, periodontal, endodontic and prosthetic procedures.
• Prepares, sterilizes, and maintains dental equipment and supplies per clinic guidelines.
• Develops dental radiographs and follows radiation safety procedures.
• Performs patient interviews, triage, and handles calls/appointments with third-party payors.
• Maintains dental records and inventories; educates patients on prevention and oral health.
• Performs duties allowed for EFDA including placement of restorations and impressions as supervised.
